Hollywood agents are constantly picking up new star power and losing out on contracts to other agencies. However, in one case there is a rare turn of events. That’s because powerful Hollywood agent Sam Gores has not dropped, but rather plans to divorce agency client Jensen Buchanan — his wife.
Gores is the chairman of Hollywood power player the Paradigm Talent Agency. He is also in the middle of a legal separation from his wife of 10 years.
Gores and Buchanan, a soap star, married in 2003 and Gores filed for legal separation in 2013.
While Jensen Buchanan is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency, it is another agent and not her soon-to-be ex-husband who reps her acting career.
In recently filed legal documents Sam Gores filed for separation while citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce at least seems civil as Gores states in the court filing that he will pay spousal support to Buchanan.
The couple prior to their marriage had signed a prenuptial agreement. The terms of that deal have not been revealed at this time.
While their marriage is coming to an end the couple tell TMZ that they “continue to enjoy a close, mutually caring relationship.
We don’t know if the professional relationship between Jensen Buchanan and Sam Gores’ agency will continue but everything up until this point seems pretty above the board.
Buchanan practically fell off the acting map after her marriage. According to Celebrity Laundry she chose to focus her efforts on raising her sons and spending time with her family.
In the end Hollywood is all about making money and if Jensen Buchanan books gigs we doubt her soon-to-be ex-husbands agency will also be dumping her anytime soon.
