Toddler’s Stick Figure Costume Already 2013’s Best Halloween Effort
Have you seen the stick figure costume video starring an adorable toddler and making the rounds this week on the social web?
The stick figure costume vid is all the best things a viral video can be — it’s novel, as from far away, all you see is a little whining stick figure. It’s short, at 22 amusing seconds. And it’s freaking cute, with the toddler in the clip running down a hallway and seemingly crying that she “has to peeeeee.”
Of 2013’s Halloween best-of, the stick figure costume is pretty sure to rate.
It’s been three days since dad Visual Burrito, aka Royce Hutain, posted the cute and now viral clip to YouTube, and the Halloween video has already racked up more than eight million views.
The description says the stick figure costume video is just a “quick preview of the LED light suit” the dad made for tot Zoey, and he notes the toddler is “22 months old and loves wearing the suit.” He links to a new site where he may eventually sell the stick figure costumes, and promises additional footage and even a tutorial for enterprising folk who want to be their own stick figure this Halloween.
A dog stick figure costume, anyone?
Hutain admits he’s a bit busy this year and unable to make stick figure costumes for everyone who wants to buy them, but the demand is there — he says:
“I don’t have the time to try and make money off of these things, but it’d be great to be able to show other people how to make them. I’d love to see other videos of people doing it.”
On first watch, a lot of people don’t know what to make of the initial sight of Zoey in the dark hallway — one viewer said:
“She looks like a glow stick figure. That’s what I thought it was. I thought someone created a new toy.”
Above is Royce Hutain’s stick figure costume, which is not available for sale yet — would you take a crack at making such an ambitious kid’s Halloween ensemble?
