Dina Eastwood: ‘Touched That She Was Only Clint’s Second Wife’

Dina Eastwood has changed her mind again and has finally decided to get divorced from husband Clint.

In September, she also filed for divorce, only to withdraw the application for a legal separation shortly after.

Now, after a change of heart, she filed new papers last Tuesday in Monterey County Superior Court. She is asking for physical custody of their 16-year-old daughter, Morgan. Of course, she is demanding alimony and payment of her legal costs.

Dina Eastwood,48, cites that the reason for the divorce is irreconcilable differences. The Eastwoods have been married for 17 years and lived most of that time in Carmel. They first met when she was sent to interview Clint for her TV news station.

It’s strange, and maybe sad, to reflect on the words spoken on their wedding day. After their wedding, Dina commented “The fact that I am only the second woman he has married really touches me.”

Eastwood said of his wife “As far as I’m concerned, this is the woman I like monogamy with.” Which was a real compliment from a man who was reputed to be a serial womanizer! Actually, one of their friends commented, “They were a great couple.. Theirs was not only a marriage, but also a close, loving friendship. Everyone enjoyed being around them.”

When Dina Eastwood filled for separation the first time, Clint, 83, was photographed in L.A. with his new girlfriend, Erica Tomlinson-Fisher. Ironic, because Erica was once married to one of Dina’s high school friends.

At the time, Dina told the New York Daily News, “I am saddened to see photos of Clint with Ms. Tomlinson-Fisher… I look forward to new beginnings.”

Not quite sure what “new beginnings” Dina Eastwood had in mind.
