Kim Kardashian Talks Weight Loss In First Interview Since Giving Birth

Kim Kardashian talked about her weight loss struggle in her first interview since giving birth to North West in June. The newly engaged mom revealed her struggles to PEOPLE magazine.

Kim already revealed on Twitter that she is using the Atkins Diet to shave off her post-baby weight, and it appears her diet, along with a workout routine, have almost completed her goal.

The new momma revealed to PEOPLE that she has lost 43 of the 50 pounds she gained while she was pregnant with North. Kardashian added that her pregnancy was much more difficult than she led her fans to believe on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kim explained:

“Pregnancy for me was a lot tougher than people saw on my show or from magazines. So to get back to feeling like myself just makes me feel good again.”

Kim Kardashian added that her diet, which consists of eating about 2,000 calories per day, was difficult, notes Hollywood Life. The reality star dished, “This was the biggest challenge of my life, and I still have some to go, but I feel so accomplished that I did this.”

While Kim is using Atkins to lose weight, she is also enrolled in two strict workout programs — Barry’s Bootcamp and Pilates Plus. Together, the programs focus on strength training, cardio, and shaping. An instructor who worked with Kim commented, “We work inner thighs with dumbbells to work your legs and arms, then squats. Kim works hard.”

And the reality star’s hard work is paying off. Kim showed off her figure on Instagram in a skimpy white swimsuit, including a good view of her famous rear end. She riled up fans (and critics), and caused her now-fiance to respond, saying, “HEADING HOME NOW.”
