Sony is pushing branded hardware hard, yesterday they announced a $499 3D TV with Playstation branding and on Tuesday they decided to show off an official bluetooth keyboard for the PS3, an option that will soon be available in Japan for ¥5,000.
In terms of functionality it’s pretty standard fair with a typical QWERTY keyboard layout, however a PS button is included so users can power their gaming console on and off directly from the gadget.
The company also decided to including a Thinkpad-style nub instead of today’s standard touchpad and brought the device in at approximately one pound with connectivity available for other devices outside of the PS3.
The keyboard launches in Japan on June 30th for approximately $62.
