No more iPads for you

Anyone who pays any attention to the tech world will know – the rumors about a new iPad being announced on March 2 are all over the place. Generally a good indicator that this is more than a rumor is when Apple cuts supply to its retail channel.

Well according to Seth Weintraub at 9 to 5 Mac this has happened as global retailers are not able to get their hands on iPads. This is an indication that Apple has stopped production of this generation of iPads and that the next generation is on its way.

The following is the Apple model numbers of products they have ceased shipping:

MB292LL/A – iPad 16GB WiFi – Constrained – No ETA

MB293LL/A – iPad 32GB WiFi – Constrained – No ETA

MB294LL/A – iPad 64GB WiFi – Constrained – No ETA

MC349LL/A – iPad 16GB 3G – Constrained – No ETA

MC496LL/A – iPad 32GB 3G – Constrained – No ETA

I am sure that this news will make more than a few iPad fans really excited as we head to the March 2nd Apple event.
