Apple May Buy Nearly $8 Billion Worth Of Components From Samsung

Apple is the world’s largest tech firm and they are getting ready to sign a major spending deal to back up that position. It’s being reported by the Korea Economic Daily that the iPhone and iPad maker could be ready to purchase $7.8 billion worth of components from Samsung.

The big buy is said to include various components including displays, applications processors and NAND flash chips, all of which would be used for iPhone and iPad devices.

If the deal goes through Apple would become Samsung’s largest customer. You may recall that on several occasions Apple has drained the market of Samsung NAND flash chips, causing memory prices to soar out of control with a near stranglehold on the market.
