Could an infographic be the next resume?

I know we tend to make a lot of fun about infographics but at the same time we gobble them up. Most of the time they are pretty pointless with the rare exception of course.
So it was rather interesting to read this post by Jim Plush where he related how he came across what he considered to be the best resume he had seen in some 20 years but what made it more interesting was the fact that the resume was actually an infographic.
Granted it is just a test idea by Jamie Kite and not an actual resume. Rather it is a guide to how you could create your own infographic resume.
What do you think? A cool way to get a resume some attention?
