Aaron Hernandez’s Girlfriend Indicted For Perjury In Connection With Odin Lloyd Murder

The girlfriend of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been in indicted on one count of perjury in connection with the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Shayana Jenkins, 24, has not been arrested yet, but has been ordered to appear in court for arraignment.

Odin Lloyd, 27, was a semi-professional football player, and the fiance to Jenkins’ sister, at the time he wound shot to death in a Massachusetts industrial park. Aaron Hernandez has since pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and weapons charges. He is being held without bail while he awaits trial.

Shayana Jenkins, with her indictment, becomes the fifth person facing charges in the Odin Lloyd case. She and Hernandez have a small child together, making her indictment all the more heart-breaking.

The three other persons indicted in the murder of Odin Floyd are Ernest Wallace, Carlos Ortiz, and Tanya Singleton.

Both Wallace and Ortiz are associates of Aaron Hernandez. Wallace has pleaded not guilty to being an accessory after the fact to murder. Ortiz was indicted on the same charge, as well as a gun charge, and will plead not guilty to both.

Tanya Singleton is Hernandez’s cousin, and has been indicted on conspiracy to commit murder after the fact. She had been previously been indicted on a charge of criminal contempt for refusing to testify before a grand jury.

It is not yet clear what led to the indictment of Shayana Jenkins, and her attorney did not return requests for comments. We will just have to wait for the details to come out at her arraignment.
