Parrot A.R. Drone, The Next Generation [CES 2011]

I’m a huge fan of the Parrot A.R. Drone that was released during last year’s CES show, but what really impresses me is the next generation of the popular iPhone controlled flying application which removes the boxed in feel of the original with a sleeker looking device that still flies with near perfection.

Here’s a quick look at this years A.R. Drone model from CES 2011:

While sitting on the ground the unit looks ready to jump up and begin it’s flight, coming in at about the same size in terms of outside diameter as the original, but with what appears to be a more nimble design which should help keep stress off the devices hardware, including the units battery pack.

Nothing was spared for the new version of the A.R. Drone, it still features augmented reality, pinpoint flying and the same cool factor we first saw at last years CES show, this one is definitely worth a closer look and gets our buy it! seal of approval.
