Swype Keyboard App Finally Makes It To Android

Swype technology, if you take the time to learn how to use it, can make typing messages on your touchscreen much easier and now that technology has finally made it’s way to the Google Android mobile platform.

Swype works by having users place their finger on the first letter of the word they would like to type and then sliding (swiping) their finger from letter to letter without removing their hand from the touchscreen based keyboard, once the word is created the user simply removes their finger and the word appears on the screen.

Here’s a video of Swype in action:

The program is free to download, simply register at Swype and download the program.

If you need it the company’s FAQ section can help you get the program installed. Swype is also suggesting that beta users download the new version of the application to ensure they receive all of the Android Apps capabilities [via Swype]
