Lindsay Lohan Leaves Rehab After 90 Days
Lindsay Lohan’s latest rehab stint is officially over. The actress was spotted leaving the Cliffside Malibu treatment center on Tuesday evening.
While some reports suggested that Lohan would stay in rehab for 3-4 more days, it appears she at least won’t be staying at Cliffside.
TMZ reports that Lohan isn’t completely done with drug therapy yet. Rather, the actress will stay with a sober coach in Los Angeles for the next few days.
Lindsay Lohan has been to rehab at least six times that we know of, but this may be the first time the 27-year-old is serious about staying sober. the gossip site noted earlier on Tuesday that several of its sources close to the actress have seen a marked difference in her behavior this time around.
One source to the site reportedly told them, “It’s like invasion of the body snatchers. She’s a different person.” We can only hope they’re telling the truth.
LiLo has been at the heart of several controversies in the past few years, including run ins with police, strange behavior, and apparent drug addiction.
Along with robbery, Lohan has also been in court for lying to the police — a charge that got her most recent probation revoked. That incident forced the actress into her latest court-ordered rehab.
USA Today notes that Lohan has several appearances lined up once she returns from her rehab stint. Those include being a guest host on Chelsea Lately on August 5 and an interview with Oprah Winfrey, which will air on the OWN Network on August 18.
While Lohan checked out of rehab on Tuesday night, her latest movie, The Canyons, starring herself and porn star James Deen picked up mixed reviews during its Monday premiere. Despite the lack of kind reviews, Caanyons director Paul Schrader praised the actress at the event, commenting, “Lindsay has moved out of her ingénue phase.”
Only time will tell what the latest rehab stint will do for Lindsay Lohan. We can only hope the time spent away will help the actress recover.
