‘Jackass’ star Bam Margera in ICU after bat attack

Jackass star Bam Margera was hospitalized this weekend after he was attacked at his bar inPennsylvania by a woman wielding a bat.

Police were called just after 2am on Saturday to Margera’s West Chester bar, The Note. Witnesses at the scene reported that Margera, 30, had been beaten with the bat by 59-year-old Elizabeth Ray. Ray is said to have struck Margera in the back of the head with the bat, and Margera was transported to a local hospital.

TMZ reports that fellow Jackass alum Steve-O indicated that Margera was in the intensive care unit at one point, but has since been released:

We talked to Steve-O, who says Bam was holed up in the intensive care unit after the incident … but has already been released from the hospital.

Steve-O also said, “I think he’s gonna be okay.”

Information on Margera’s current condition has not yet been made available. Ray was arrested at the scene, and reportedly has been taken into custody for aggravated assault and related charges.
