Twitter gets World Cup fever

Oh gawd this is my second Twitter post of the day – something must be wrong in the Matrix – please shoot me now before this gets out of hand.

With that out of the way there is no denying that World Cup soccer is one of the hottest sports being played today. Just about everyone and their brother (or sister as the case may be) is getting soccer fever and of course no one to miss an opportunity Twitter has set up a special site to capture all the real-time chatter as World Cup 2010 plays out in South Africa.

Using live widgets, real-time search, and Top Tweets (updates that are currently catching the attention of many Twitter users) we’ve put together a special site to capture the spirit of the World Cup and it’s already pulsing with activity.
