HP EliteBook 2740P Tablet Stays Convertible, Offers Capacitive Multi-Touch

I’m a huge fan of the HP Elitebook series of convertible tablets and now I’m an even bigger fan thanks to the newly announced HP EliteBook 2740p, a device that features the same little rugged design of past devices, while throwing in a capacitive display with multi-touch capabilities.

The 2740p is MIL-STD 810G military graded and offers Intel Core i5/i7 love. It also features a 12.1 inch WXGA display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution on an LED display with anti-glare and outdoor setting options.

The unit can also be controlled with a pen, your finger and the included keyboard.

According to Gizmodo you’ll receive five hours of use on the devices standard six cell battery,however the HP 2700 ultra-slim battery can be added for an extra 6 hours.

The unit, even with its rugged design still comes in at under four pounds and will be available in the US in April starting at around $1600.
