JooJoo Violates PayPal Seller Agreement, Goods More Than 20 Days Away

We’ve been covering the entire Crunchpad/JooJoo movement over the last couple weeks, now we’ve learned that the company is in violation of PayPal policies, accepting the popular payment method as the sole way of paying for the devices, then delivering them way outside of paypal maximum order/delivery terms.

We doubt it was a malicious move by the company, however Paypal states in their TOS in section II, subsection 4, named “Prohibited Transactions,” that the seller agrees “not to use [a] PayPal account to sell goods with delivery dates delayed more than 20 days from the date of payment.”

Considering the JooJoo units are 8 to 10 weeks away from delivery we’re assuming no one will see the units in 20 days. It could be that they’ve found a way around this restriction. It could also be that with all the JooJoo Legal issues on hand that they’ve simply overlooked this fact. [Gizmodo]
