WWE Rumors: The Fate Of Upcoming Show At Manchester Arena In Jeopardy After Terror Attack

Two days ago, a terror attack unlike anything else the world had seen rocked the Manchester Arena: at least 22 are confirmed dead and more than 50 are wounded after a suicide bomber struck the arena after an Ariana Grande concert. Now, the latest WWE rumors suggest that the upcoming show at that arena is in jeopardy because of the attack. And while that may not be surprising, it is a little distressing.

According to TMZ’s latest round of WWE rumors, the show at the Manchester Arena will be under the NXT umbrella. The NXT branch of the organization has produced such superstars as Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Finn Balor. The show, which was scheduled to take place in two weeks, is currently in limbo while WWE officials talk with Manchester police to see if the show can go forward in the first place and, if it can go forward, whether it’s a good idea to do so.

At the time of the attack, WWE officials were the first to release a statement offering condolences.

“WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to those affected by this tragedy. We are working with local authorities on the appropriate course of action as it relates to our event scheduled for Tuesday, June 6 at the Manchester Arena.”

In the event the show doesn’t go forward, England’s residents can catch the NXT tour when it stops at Leeds and Brighton.

However, according to the latest round of WWE rumors from the Daily Star, even though WWE officials are working with the Manchester police to determine the right course of action, there are other events that are already taking place as though nothing had happened.

For example, there was a show by the rock band KISS that was scheduled to take place on Tuesday of next week, and that’s going forward as planned.

“‘On its website, Brazilian radio station Rock Freeday said “KISS will perform at Manchester Arena next Tuesday’. Bassist Gene Simmons tweeted: ‘Thoughts and Prayers go out to Manchester. We stand with you, united.’ His son, Nick, added: ‘Family and I will be in Manchester [at the] end of [the] month at pops’ show.’ ‘If we can help in any way, even if you just need a hug, reply to this tweet,’ he continued. And singer Paul Stanley tweeted: ‘My heart breaks for 22 young killed and 59 maimed. My heart breaks for parents. I am heartbroken and speechless. I pray for you.”

Either way, according to the latest WWE rumors from 411Mania, there will be a large pall cast over the event.

Many in the wrestling community joined other sports and entertainment superstars to offer their heartfelt condolences to the people of Manchester.

Triple H, for example, took to his Twitter.

“My thoughts are with all of those affected by the senseless tragedy in Manchester. #PrayforManchester”

Stephanie McMahon, Triple H’s wife and the co-manager of Raw, also took to her Twitter to express her condolences.

“Our thoughts, love, support and prayers go out to all of those affected by the #ManchesterBombing”

We join the WWE superstars in offering our expressed condolences for the victims and their families of the Manchester attack.
