Black Friday 2012 Ads: Kohl’s Doorbusters Start Early


Kohl’s is opening all of its stores for 24 straight hours on Black Friday. Doorbusters will begin popping up on November 21. The store’s Holiday Dream campaign includes online wish lists, specially themed bargain hunting commercials, and contests, according to Retail Info Systems News.

Christmas shoppers are expected to take advantage of Kohl’s Black November deals both online and at brick-and-mortar stores around the country. CEO Kevin Mansell has this to say about the Black Friday deals at the clothing retailer:

“We are providing deeper savings more often throughout the season and creating a comfortable, convenient and inspiring shopping experience in-store, online and through mobile devices.”

Kohl’s Facebook fans will garner access to flash sales on Black Friday. Facebook “like” races and new arrival sweepstakes reportedly come with a $100 gift card prize for the winner and three lucky friends. The store will also select one “Dream Receipt” each day from November 23 through December 24. The store will pick up the tab for one shopper each day in each store during the special holiday promotion.

The store’s Facebook page will also be used to foster the true charitable spirit of the holiday season. Kohl’s will donate $1 to Toys for Tots for each new “like” is receives, up to $500,000. During Black Friday all stores will reportedly offer free Wi-Fi to aid customers browsing through the wish lists and comparing prices. Customers can use the complimentary internet service to log into Four Square and earn extra savings at Kohl’s stores.

The retail chain has reportedly expanded its toy department by 25 percent in anticipation of Christmas sales. Kohl’s customers age 60 and over receive an additional 15 percent off in-store purchases on Wednesdays, some exclusions may apply.
