Selena Gomez Is Not Back To Partying [Debunked]

Selena Gomez recently returned to Los Angeles after a 90-day hiatus and already, rumors have been swirling in regard to her alleged partying. Luckily, those rumors are untrue.

Earlier this week, Star magazine published a false report about Selena Gomez and suggested the 24-year-old singer was “facing trouble again” after potentially returning to the spotlight too soon.

“Is the singer still struggling to get well?” the magazine asked readers, according to a report by Gossip Cop on December 6.

“Selena Gomez may have thought she was ready to bounce back into the spotlight after rehab, but was it too soon?”

Selena Gomez announced the cancellation of her “Revival World Tour” in August of this year. In a statement to People Magazine, Gomez explained she would be taking some time off from her busy career to address her struggles with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.

The incorrect magazine report went on to reveal that Selena Gomez returned to Los Angeles in November and made her highly anticipated comeback at the 2016 American Music Awards on November 21, where she was spotted spending time with celebrities including Lady Gaga and Niall Horan. Selena Gomez also received support from Ariana Grande after she delivered a moving speech while accepting the award for Best Female Artist: Pop Rock.

Following her appearance at the show, Selena Gomez made a couple of appearances in Los Angeles after spending time with her family for Thanksgiving. Weeks later, she was accused by Star magazine of “acting like she’s struggling again with all the attention.” However, as Gossip Cop pointed out, the magazine’s only source of evidence was a video which featured Selena Gomez leaving Catch restaurant with a few friends.

In the video, Selena Gomez was accused of looking downcast, but in reality, she simply had her head tilted down in an effort to avoid the bright lights of the paparazzi’s flashing cameras. Either way, as Gossip Cop pointed out, there have been no indications of Gomez being “back to partying” or “facing trouble again,” nor is she “struggling to get well.”

“They are manipulations of non-events, twisted into false claims about [Selena Gomez]’s health and personal life. It is shameful and inaccurate,” Gossip Cop revealed to readers.

Selena Gomez has been keeping a low profile since returning home from Tennessee, where she was seen on a couple of occasions in October. Although she’s been photographed out in Los Angeles, her outings have been with friends and when it comes to partying, she doesn’t appear to have done any at all.

In August, when she announced her plans to take some time off, Selena Gomez thanked her fans for their support during her struggles.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez explained in her statement.

“I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” she continued.

Selena Gomez has not yet announced her future plans to possibly continue her “Revival World Tour,” nor has she officially confirmed plans to release a new album.
