It was inevitable: The Bikini Basketball League could happen by the end of the year, according to NBC Sports. Although the league has been around since 2011, none of the participating franchises have played a single game. However, all of that could change before the end of 2012, much to the endless joy of those who love watching scantily-clad women play organized sports. I’m honestly a little shocked its taken folks this long to put something like this together.

Should this Bikini Basketball League get off the ground, it will pit such teams as Chicago Desire, Orlando LadyCats, Miami Spice, Los Angeles Ice, New York Knockouts, Hollywood Hotties, and Atlanta Fleet Angels against one another in a professional setting. Well, as professional as women in bikinis playing basketball can be, of course.

If you think you have what it takes to play hoops while wearing next to nothing in the process, then you should find your way to Miami before this Saturday. According to the Miami New Times, the folks who run the Miami Spice are currently seeking athletic women who can fill a bikini while performing speculator jump shots.

Interested in putting your skills and curves to the test? Here’s what you need to do: Grab a sports bra, a pair of shorts, and book a flight to Miami. Once there, you’ll have an opportunity to showcase your skills in an effort to land a spot on a professional Bikini Basketball League team. However, organizers are only looking for around a dozen women, so you’d better bring your A game, as well.

“They can expect to sweat their hair out and have their basketball skills tested. Dribbling, shooting, passing, running, scrimmaging, and more. We will also have a interview process where we ask them an array of questions to see if they have the mind frame and personality that we seek,” a representative for the Miami Spice explained in a statement.
