It is going to be an entertaining game, to say the least, although preseason games are always a bit ugly. Both teams have a lot to work on this week, and it will be interesting to see how they look.
According to a report from Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Aaron Rodgers is unlikely to play for the second straight preseason game.

Green Bay is coming off of a 17-11 victory over the Cleveland Browns in their first preseason game of the year. It was ugly, but they showed off a lean Eddie Lacy and a defense that will be more than capable of making big plays this season. Mike McCarthy has to be happy with the way his team opened the year.
Oakland, on the other hand, ended up defeating the Arizona Cardinals by a final score of 31-10 in their first preseason game. They are going to be a threat in the AFC this season. It has been a long time since they were viewed as serious playoff contenders, but they are well on their way to getting back to that point.
Predicting a preseason game isn’t easy to say the very least. There is no telling which players will play and how long they will play for in preseason games. Green Bay is also resting a lot of their key players.
That being said, these two teams are going to attack each other on Thursday evening. They will be looking to prove a point, even though it is simply a preseason game. Plenty of players on both rosters are still battling for playing time and roster spots as well.
Even with the players who are expected to rest for the Packers, they should have a good chance to pull out a second win in a row to open the season. Brett Hundley sounds ready to make his preseason debut, which will improve the Packers’ quarterback play. They have a deep enough defense to mess with the Raiders’ offense as well.
It will be interesting to see where both of these teams end up at the end of the season. Green Bay is widely expected to be a serious contender in the NFC once again and is favored to win the NFC North division title. Oakland is going to compete for a playoff spot and should contend with the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West division.
Expect to see these teams look much improved this week. There are quite a few fans who won’t watch preseason games, but for those diehard fans who are interested, this will be a game that they should watch.
