Father’s Day 2016: Deals And Giveaways You Can Take Advantage Of This Sunday

Father’s Day 2016 is almost here, and the deals are lining up. Some retailers are giving things away, as well as a few restaurants to whet your old man’s taste buds. Show Dad you care, and save some money, just like he’d want you to in this economy.

For now, FatWallet.com suggests buying tools of all kinds before Sunday hits. You might ask what type of repairs he wants to do around the house, or what kind of car he drives if you don’t already know. These questions can help you determine what he needs, and he might just want to replace something he already has. For the hardcore mechanic, you probably can’t go wrong with impact socket bits, as they’re less likely to snap when you apply excess pressure, especially on stubborn lug nuts.

Home Depot, eBay, Lowes, and Sears are also great places to get a discount on tools, with deals peaking around Father’s Day 2016.

  • If Dad’s hungry, Hooters has a special deal for Father’s Day 2016, offering five dollars in Dad’s Bonus Bucks if you buy a $25 gift card. Plus, if you buy 10 boneless or Original Style Hooters wings and a beverage, you get 10 more wings free. The Bonus Bucks can be used anytime in the following week.
  • Penn Station East Coast Subs are offering a free six-inch sub sandwich if you buy one six-inch or larger sandwich using a printable coupon on their website.
  • Outback Steakhouse will give you a free $10 bonus gift card if you purchase $50 or more in gift cards. The gift card is not valid on the day of purchase, but it can be used any time afterward until July 15. Steak is the usual go-to meal for the busy man.
  • If you’re 21 or older, you might share Ruby Tuesday’s Father’s Day 2016 deal with him. If you buy a $50 gift card, you get an additional $15 gift card. Plus, they’re launching a special menu for the holiday, including the Big Daddy Burger and the Knob Creek Classic, a beverage containing Knob Creek Bourbon. Drink responsibly, and have a soft drink or something if you plan to do the driving.

If Dad is more of a Gordon Ramsay kind of guy, a variety of retailers are offering cookware and dishes. Macy’s, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Walmart, and other retailers are having Father’s Day 2016 deals up to 50 percent off. Walmart is offering special discounts on barbecue grills, utensils, and propane tanks.

If he’d rather sit down and relax, or possibly go for the virtual headshot, video games and bundles like the Call of Duty: Black Ops III PS4 bundle will probably offer hours of fun. If he’s an Xbox guy, there is an Xbox One 500GB console with a choice of one of four exclusive titles: Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, or Rare Replay. Star Wars Battlefront and FIFA 16 are also half price at Walmart. Deadpool and the Alien quadrilogy collection are both discounted as well.

Target also has some great deals for Father’s Day 2016, including TVs, clothes, movies, and more. You can save $200 off a Samsung curved UltraHD TV for the ultimate man-cave experience.

What you give is up to you.
