Fantasy Baseball Two-Start Pitchers: Good Week 10 Options For Owners

Fantasy baseball two-start pitchers for Week 10 include a high number of great options. Some of those fantasy baseball pitchers might even be available in free agency, or the waiver wire, as Week 10 arrives. A report from CBS Sports showcases three young pitchers who have put together some nice work lately, and who could be good stat providers in Week 10 games.

Those three young starters, each of whom might still be available in free agency for most leagues, are Matt Shoemaker of the Los Angeles Angels, Adam Conley of the Miami Marlins, and Michael Fulmer of the Detroit Tigers. Adam Conley makes two starts on the road, starting out the week against the Minnesota Twins and finishing up against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Matt Shoemaker has a game against the New York Yankees, and then a game at home against the Cleveland Indians. Michael Fulmer is on the road against the Toronto Blue and then at home against the Yankees.

In all, there are 40 fantasy baseball two-start pitchers in Week 10. The games for the week begin on Monday, June 6, and run through Sunday, June 12. 10 teams will have Monday off this week and then 12 teams will have Thursday off on the schedule. This will mean some lineup adjustments are necessary for at least two days of the week, but there are several teams that will be on the field seven times this week. That includes the Seattle Mariners, who have two starting pitchers on the mound twice.

James Paxton will cover for Felix Hernandez in the starting rotation for the Seattle Mariners, making starts against the Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers. He didn’t make it through four innings in his first start of the year, but did post seven strikeouts that helped a lot in points leagues. After making that first start, he could be a good sleeper to start in Week 10. Another fantasy baseball option from the Mariners is Wade Miley, who is certainly in the “buy low” category, and he should still be available in free agency for most leagues.

Though there are 40 fantasy baseball two-start pitchers in Week 10, there are certainly a few that stand out from the rest. While they might not be available for pickup in most leagues, they are must-start options in leagues that freeze rosters with the first game each Monday. Those must-start options are Jon Lester of the Chicago Cubs, Jacob deGrom of the New York Mets, Joe Ross of the Washington Nationals, Steven Matz of the Mets, Carlos Carrasco of the Cleveland Indians, and Cole Hamels of the Texas Rangers.

Jon Lester is 6-3 with a 2.29 ERA and 1.019 WHIP through his first 11 starts. In a typical season, Lester would be in the conversation for the National League Cy Young Award. Jacob deGrom has also started out very well, posting a 2.62 ERA, a 1.164 WHIP, and 47 strikeouts over his first 55 innings. Lester goes up against the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves in Week 10, while deGrom faces the Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers. Both pitchers lead a great crop of fantasy baseball starters this week and should be active in all lineups.
