The second match of the 2016 Indian Premier League, pitting the Delhi Daredevils against the host Kolkata Knight Riders, will stream live Sunday and will feature the return of newest power-hitting superstar of T20 cricket to the ground where he became an instant World Cup legend just one week earlier.

Visiting Delhi sports a young roster, but not one without some pop in the bats — and no one exemplifies that fearsome hitting attack more than 27-year-old Barbados native Carlos Braithwaite, who stopped hearts and dropped jaws on April 3 at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata by blasting four straight deliveries for six in the final over against England to propel West Indies to their second T20 World Cup championship.
West Indies needed 19 to win off the final six balls against England in the T20 World Cup Final, and Braithwaite made the daunting task look easy, raking England seamer Ben Stokes over the boundary on Stokes first four offerings.
Now, Braithwaite returns to Eden Gardens after signing with the Delhi Daredevils for an eye-opening $550,000 price tag, hoping to carry over his success from the World T20 into this year’s ninth edition of the IPL.
But he says that, in a way, those four sixes have been as much burden as a blessing as he attempts to prepare for the Daredevils’ IPL 2016 opener.
“I would be honest and say it was a bit of a challenge. I had time management problems to begin with,” Braithwaite told reporters in Kolkata Saturday, saying that he has been giving interviews on a constant basis, discussing his incredible four sixes for the past week.
“Now I am aware of the challenges that instant stardom has brought me,” he said. “It is something that I look forward to if I continue to be successful. It’s something that I have to cope with,” Braithwaite said.

The Knight Riders have won two of the eight Indian Premier league championships so far. But they sank to fifth on the table in 2015 with a 7-6 record, but will try for a third title under new head coach, the retired South Africa legend Jacques Kallis.
