Google Play Releases New Update While Nintendo Releases Its First App To The Store

Google Play released a new update to its app for the Google Play Store. Downloading and updating the app will make purchasing and downloading apps from the store run much more smoothly. Although the Google Play Store app normally gets updated automatically on Android mobile devices, users may also download the APK and update manually if they choose to.

Mobi Picker reported that the latest APK for Google Play is now available for download. Other major updates from the Google Play Store include a complete interface design of Facebook Messenger, which includes a free basketball game and a new beta APK for the Facebook app.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Google has been busy updating all its tools, including its business tools like Google Docs and Google Adwords, as well as updating the Chrome browser, which mobile device users can also download from the Google Play store. The updates to Chrome include a new bookmark interface as well as plenty of security fixes to make it more secure. The three vulnerabilities were discovered by researchers. Google rewards those who discover vulnerabilities in its products, particularly the Chrome browser and the Chromebook operating system.

The new update of the Google Play Store works on all devices using at least the Android 4.0 operating system. Although the new update includes some cool functions and new interface, users won’t notice anything different about how the app works. There are several new fixes and speed improvements but not any new features.

Phandroid reported that Nintendo released its first official app to the Google Play Store. Miitomo allows its users to create an avatar of themselves, put clothes on it, and then interact with others. The app asks the user a series of questions and then asks those questions of the person’s friends. The app is a form of social networking while allowing Nintendo to cash in on in-app purchases. Similar to the Kim Kardashian app, this app has the same potential to bring in millions of dollars even though it doesn’t sound like much. The app is available for free in the Google Play Store.

Miitomo isn’t the only app to hit the Google Play store that Google users may find fun and interesting. Android Authority reported that Lego released its version of LEGO Jurassic World for players to play. Although it isn’t the first Android app for Lego to introduce into the Google Play Store, it is the latest in Lego’s lineup of games that they have introduced to the Android platform.

LEGO Jurassic World allows players to relive the story lines from all four Jurassic Park films. These include Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, and Jurassic World. There are 20 different story levels in the game, and players get to choose from characters like Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Dr. Wu (BD Wong), and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) of Jurassic World and Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) in Jurassic Park.

Users can even build their own dinosaur collections as well as use different parts to mix and match to create their own species. For those who want to play the game as dinosaurs, they have that option too. The game is available for sale in the Google Play Store with no in-app purchases for only $4.99.
