Lauren Perdue Turns Down Lebron James For Dinner

The Olympics gives athletes a chance to show the world their talents. It also gives athletes the perfect opportunity to mingle. Lebron James was looking forward to getting to know Lauren Perdue a little better but the Olympic Swimmer declined his dinner date offer.

Perdue, who will be swimming the first leg of the women’s 4×200 freestyle relay, said that James asked her out to dinner last week.

Thankfully for the United States Olympic Swim Team, Perdue has her mind set on Olympic glory and not dinner dates.

Perdue wrote on Twitter:

“Lebron James just invited me to dinner…Um wuuuutttt?!?”

So where did the NBA’s star player invite her to go? According to Perdue, James was ready to go big by dining at the Olympic cafeteria.

Perdue told the Charlotte Observer:

“He was kind of joking… But he was basically like, ‘Would you like to come eat with me at the dining hall?’ And I said, ‘Um, I’m sorry, I have a curfew.'”

Lebron James is currently engaged to his high school sweetheart, Savannah Brinson, and despite the stories about Olympic Village, he was probably just trying to meet a fellow Olympian.

James isn’t the only NBA star mingling with his fellow Olympians. Kobe Bryant recently started some marital trouble when he hung out with some female Olympians without his shirt on.
