The teams will meet in the tournament’s final, a rematch of the earlier match in which India won by 45 runs. The 2016 Asia Cup final is Sunday from Dhaka, with the action starting at 7:30 p.m. local time (1:30 p.m. GMT/8:30 a.m. ET).

There appears to be a wide difference in interest for the game. While the Bangladesh team — and the entire country — is gearing up for the matchup and excitement is growing to a fevered pitch, for India, it’s being viewed as just another match. After all, this is the India team accustomed to the big stage, reaching the previous ICC Twenty20 final and last year’s World Cup semifinal.

“They (Indian players) are experienced players and they should treat this as another gamer. Our approach to every team and every game has been the same,” Team Director Ravi Shastri said in a press conference this week (via the India Express).

“Right from the start, we have approached every game as a knock-out game. The final will be no different for us,” he added.

The team has now won all its matches in the 2016 Cup with ease, including the previous win over Bangladesh. They are also coming off a particularly dominant performance over UAE in a match with little at stake, as India had already clinched its berth in the finals against Bangladesh.

“That was (first match) a good game,” Shastri said. “Bangladesh was a very good win, to start off with. In the first game, we were under pressure till the last 10 overs, when we bounced back. Every game is a tough game. It’s about how you balance things out in batting and bowling. We did an excellent job in that game.”

While the Asia Cup represents a nice prize for India, their eyes are really on making up for the 2014 loss to Sri Lanka in the finals.

India has now won nine of its last 10 T20Is in 2016, with the only loss coming against a strong Sri Lanka team.

As ESPNcricinfo pointed out, the Men in Blue have been nearly unstoppable in the abbreviated 20-over format.

“India’s numbers have been solid with both bat and ball in the last couple of years,” the report noted. “Their run rate hasn’t been the highest – in fact, five of the nine teams in the table below have done better – but India’s bowling stats have been exceptional. Their average and economy rate are the best among all teams. They have been the only team with a sub-20 bowling average and an economy rate of less than 7.50.”
