The Royal Rumble is over and the road to WrestleMania has officially started. Triple H is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the main event for Fastlane was announced to determine his challenger at WrestleMania 32. Now, some rumored matches are really gaining steam and the card is beginning to come together as time draws closer for the biggest wrestling event of the year.
One thing is certain and it is that Triple H is going into WrestleMania 32 as WWE Champion thanks to winning the rumble match. Unless something weird happens before then, he’s holding onto the title until then.
On Monday Night Raw, the main event for Fastlane was announced and it’s a triple threat match of Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar and WWE already has a preview for it. The winner of the match gets to face Triple H for the title in early April.
Things get kind of weird here, but it still is setting the stage for Reigns vs. Triple H for the title at WrestleMania 32.
Brock Lesnar is going to have his hands full with The Wyatt Family and they will likely get involved during the triple threat match and take him out. Dean Ambrose will probably end up taking the pin and letting Reigns get the main event shot for the title.
The result of that match essentially sets up two other matches:
- Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt (or Braun Strowman)
- Intercontinental Title: Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho
It’s rumored that Jericho will end up turning heel somewhere over the course of the next month and begin a feud with Ambrose. That will set up nicely and even have history all the way back to last year’s Night of Champions.
The Rock appearing on Monday Night Raw only gave some reassurance to something everyone already knew, and it’s that he would be at WrestleMania 32. After his appearance though, his role at the PPV is what became a little less clear.
Due to his movie commitments, it’s been said that The Rock could not wrestle due to insurance issues and the possibility of getting injured. On Raw though, he did get physical in the ring and it actually has perfectly set up a six-man tag match between The New Day and The Rock with his cousins, the Usos.
At the Royal Rumble, AJ Styles made his long-awaited WWE debut and had a good showing in the rumble match. He was eventually eliminated by Kevin Owens, and WrestleZone even reports that it looks like WWE is heading in the direction of a Styles vs. Owens feud.
If it doesn’t lead to a match at Fastlane, then look for the feud to continue all the way into WrestleMania 32 for the two stars to let it all out on a really big stage.
There are just over two months until WrestleMania 32, and finally, there are matches coming together and a card is being put in place. Here is a rundown of all the rumored matches that could end up taking place in early April.
- WWE World Heavyweight Title: Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns
- Intercontinental Title: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Chris Jericho
- The New Day vs. The Rock & The Usos (possible WWE Tag Team Title Match)
- Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles
- Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt
- 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
- The Undertaker vs.???
- United States Title Match
- Divas Title Match
WrestleMania 32 is finally starting to come together and the card really is not looking half bad right now, despite all the serious injuries riddling WWE’s main roster. More matches are to come and things will be cleared u a lot between now and Fastlane, but at least there are some ideas out there now.
