WWE Rumors, Spoilers: WWE Now Teasing Major Return For ‘Raw’ Tonight — Top Possibilities

A huge surprise was rumored to happen this weekend, but then it was pushed to take place after the Royal Rumble. Now, WWE has actually joined in on the fun by promoting the return of a “major star” at this evening’s Monday Night Raw as the “road to WrestleMania” really gets underway.

Like with the NJPW invasion angle rumors that WWE discussed on the main page of their site, they have gotten on social media to get into the middle of the latest rumors.

Immediately, there was a lot of speculation running wild on Twitter and other social media outlets to try and figure out who it may be. Immediately, the major name connected to WWE’s major return is The Rock, and for a number of reasons.

Tonight’s Monday Night Raw takes place in Miami and it’s a place that The Rock is very familiar with and has associations all over it, including a home. WrestleZone even reported that he’s been in the city lately to shoot the latest season of Ballers.

He’s not the only rumored named, though, but he is the most logical. Some have wondered if Sting is going to show up, but it really wouldn’t make much sense. It’s known that Sting will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, and there is no need for him to appear just yet.

Rumors of the return of Bill Goldberg have been flying around for weeks, and even months, but nothing has come from them. Goldberg has said he’s open to a return to WWE, if it’s done right. That’s the key though, having it done right.

Daily Wrestling News reports that WWE wants a one-year deal with Goldberg, but they would possibly settle for a six-month contract. As of now, no official offer seems to have been made, but one could be as WrestleMania 32 gets closer.

Things can happen quickly in the world of professional wrestling though, and Goldberg could be the “major star” to return tonight.

The Undertaker is another name that many feel could return at Monday Night Raw this evening, as he needs to get his WrestleMania 32 feud going. Since he didn’t show up at the Royal Rumble last night, it’s expected that Taker will show back up on WWE television very soon.

As of now, it’s completely unknown who he could face at the big event, and now is as good a time as any to start one up.

Of course, the other name that keeps popping up on social media is that of Daniel Bryan. Is he ready or isn’t he? Have WWE doctors cleared him or haven’t they? No-one really knows except for maybe a select few in the company, and they won’t say a word until he appears back in the ring.

All signs are pointing to the return of The Rock to WWE TV, and that the “major star” is big in the ring and on the screen. He’s going to likely build up the WrestleMania 32 hype while also promoting his show Ballers in the process.

Then again, he could shock everyone and challenge Triple H to the match that was teased last year at WrestleMania 31, and this one would be for the WWE Title.

A huge surprise has been rumored and now WWE has confirmed there will be a major star returning on this evening’s Monday Night Raw. After a Royal Rumble that saw the debut of AJ Styles, it had better be someone awfully big to top one of the greatest wrestlers in the world, signing with WWE.
