WWE Rumors: Huge Surprise Planned For ‘Raw’ Tonight — Bigger Than AJ Styles’ Debut

Last night at the Royal Rumble, there were a lot of big happenings that made it a pretty big pay-per-view, and not a bad one either. AJ Styles made his highly-rumored and long-awaited debut with WWE. Triple H unsurprisingly entered the Rumble match and won the WWE Title. Now, a major surprise is rumored for Monday Night Raw tonight, and it’s said to be bigger than anything that happened 24 hours ago.

There were some things that happened at the Royal Rumble that no one saw coming and some that everyone hoped for. Triple H is back in the ring, and now the leader of The Authority has the WWE World Heavyweight Title around his waist for a 14th time, as recapped by WWE.com.

At number three in the Rumble match, AJ Styles finally appeared after a month of rumors saying he was heading to WWE. Well, he did debut and it was a huge night all around, but it seems there are bigger things to come tonight.

Cageside Seats is reporting that there was a huge surprise planned for the Royal Rumble last night, but it didn’t end up happening. It’s said to be even bigger than the debut of Styles or any of the other things that took place at the PPV.

MLW reported that surprise to take place on Sunday night. As of Monday morning, they were asked about it on Twitter and where it was, but they had a response.

Not much more has been given on the surprise, but it is said to be something quite big. Still, MLW is standing by things and saying that it will happen on Monday Night Raw this evening, and only one simple hint was given so far.

That’s still not a ton of info, but it did automatically start a slew of tweets back to MLW with guesses as to who it may be. There is a former full-time WWE star who played college football at the University of Miami: The Rock.

It’s not confirmed that it will be him on Raw, but it certainly does seem to be heading in that direction.

It’s already been confirmed that The Rock will be at WrestleMania 32 in early April, and it is believed that he won’t be wrestling. Due to his numerous movie commitments, insurance may not clear him to wrestle and be physical in the ring as trouble could arise if he got injured.

Rumors have persisted for months that if he does have a match, it would be against Triple H, and that makes things even more interesting.

It all started at WrestleMania 31 last year when The Rock and Triple H faced off in the center of the ring in old-school fashion. Now, Trips has the belt and just ousted Roman Reigns, The Rock’s cousin, to win it at the Royal Rumble.

Maybe an agreement of some sort has been met with WWE and the insurance company for a match for The Rock. He could show up on Monday Night Raw to start a feud with Triple H, or he could just be there to promote WrestleMania 32 and his appearance at the event.

With that, he could say he’ll be there backing up Reigns, who is also rumored to take on Triple H and have his back against the League of Nations. Anything is possible, and The Rock may not even be the huge surprise rumored for Monday Night Raw tonight, but it sure seems like that’s the way things are heading.
