Many fans were shocked to see that Lil Wayne and Birdman rang in the New Year together — and this comes just after the news that Lil Wayne and Christina Milian have gotten back together. This is an especially surprising makeup since Lil Wayne filed a lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records almost one year ago in late January.
However, it is not surprising that Lil Wayne has trolls in his life, and one recently got a reward for his efforts. On top of that, Lil Wayne has been crowned king again and his latest award puts him at the top of music in a very expected way.
In the meantime, Complex writes that Lil Wayne is dealing with the outcome of the tour bus shooting that happened near Atlanta in April. Although Lil Wayne’s shooter, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, was prosecuted, Winfrey is now filing paperwork to reduce his 20-year sentence.
Interestingly, one of the people that Jimmy Winfrey accused of helping him in his plot against Lil Wayne was Birdman and Young Thug, according to E! Online. Nevertheless, as Rap Up and others reported that Birdman repeatedly said he did not hire anyone to kill Lil Wayne.
Nonetheless, it appears that none of that mattered on December 31, 2015, to Lil Wayne because he was next to Birdman at Drake’s party — and no one was having to hold Lil Wayne back.
TMZ was one of the first to report that Birdman and Lil Wayne were in the same room on January 1, and they showed that Birdman and Lil Wayne even posed for photos together — sitting next to each other.
Adding to this, BET reports Mack Maine took a picture of Drake, Birdman, Lil Wayne, and others but captioned it with the Kentucky State motto, “United We Stand Divided We Fall.”
Was this a nod to the dearly departed Louisville, Kentucky, rapper, Static Major, that performed “Lollipop” with Lil Wayne before his death — or is Mack Maine simply stating the obvious?
Of course, the news that Lil Wayne and Birdman are partying together is liable to get any of his fans’ attention considering his year-long feud with Birdman. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lil Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit on January 29, 2015, and Birdman countersued for $50 million on July 16.
Although it does not appear that Birdman is one of Lil Wayne’s trolls any longer, one of Lil Wayne’s other trolls got special attention at the end of 2015. Hot New Hip Hop gave out a series of awards for “top trolls of 2015” and cited Tunechi Got That Sack as one of the best.
The Lil Wayne troll got their award for “most stan” (slang for enthusiastic) and wrote the following.
“You’ve got to be seriously dedicated to start every single one of your comments with ‘word to blood slime’ … Not only that, he often replies to Lil Wayne articles as though he is Weezy himself, calling out Birdman when he gets a chance.”
Speaking of awards, Lil Wayne got one for something everyone was expecting — profanity. Digital Spy writes that Lil Wayne is the most foul-mouthed rapper, and they get their data from Deezer. Keeping Lil Wayne company is Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, and Tupac.
As if being the most foul-mouthed rapper isn’t good enough, Deezer points out that rap is the most curse-word-littered music genre by a landslide and state the following.
“Rap music has been identified as the number one genre which uses the most swear words and crude language, with expletives popping up in 71.8% of its music.”
By comparison, the spoken word genre has 9.99 percent, electric has 6.64 percent, and rock has 5.57 percent profanity overall.
In the end, Lil Wayne may be more focused on his upcoming tour more than anything. According to Music Times, Lil Wayne and Rae Sremmurd will be touring starting on January 21 in El Paso, Texas.
