WWE News: Triple H Issues Statement On Alleged ‘Survivor Series’ Terrorist Threat
WWE’s executive vice president of talent, live events, and creative Triple H has issued an update on the status of tonight’s Survivor Series pay-per-view in a six-part statement on Twitter.
Triple H says that after further investigation, there is no “specific or credible” information that there are any plots of a terrorist attack scheduled against the WWE tonight. By the same token, “The Game” says WWE has been working closely with federal, state and local authorities to ensure proper security measures are taken.
Here is the full statement, per Triple H’s official Facebook page.
Early Saturday morning, the International Business Times wrote that the hacktivist group Anonymous uncovered ISIS’ plans to unleash a bevy of attacks around the world on Sunday. The attacks would have seen ISIS target the U.S., Indonesia, Italy, and Lebanon, per Anonymous’ findings. There were also rumors that ISIS had plans of attacking Paris, France, for the second time.“Federal, state and local law enforcement authorities have confirmed there is no specific or credible information involving a threat against tomorrow’s WWE Survivor Series at Philips Arena. However, WWE and Philips Arena have coordinated with the appropriate agencies and law enforcement, and significantly increased security measures to ensure the safety of all those in attendance, which is our highest priority. Doors will open at 6 p.m. to help fans avoid any delays in entering the arena due to the additional precautionary security procedures put in place. Fans are encouraged to take public transportation (MARTA) to the event and are advised that bags will not be permitted in the arena. ?#?SurvivorSeries?“
The list of ISIS’ alleged points of attacks according to Anonymous are:
- Cigales Electroniques with Vocodecks, RE-Play & Rawtor at Le Bizen (Paris)
- Concrete Invites Drumcode: Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joel Mull at Concrete (Paris)
- Demonstration by Collectif du Droit des Femmes (Paris)
- Feast of Christ the King celebrations (Rome/Worldwide)
- Al-Jihad, One Day One Juz (Indonesia)
- Five Finger Death Punch (Milan)
- University Pastoral Day (Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon)
Last Friday, ISIS attacked the French capital in a series of coordinated terrorist attacks. The tragic events ended with 130 people dead and several hundreds of people injured. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, French authorities killed the mastermind behind the Paris Attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, after a police raid near Paris.
However, Anonymous took to Twitter and claimed that they did not report any alleged terrorist threats by ISIS scheduled for Sunday
We did not spread any rumors about possible future ISIS attacks, and frankly, we do not know where the rumors come from.

Despite that, with these kinds of threats present yet again, the FBI was brought in to investigate the alleged terrorist threats against the WWE in Atlanta, Georgia at tonight’s night. FBI Special Agent in Charge J. Britt Johnson, from the Atlanta, office issued a statement on Saturday afternoon, echoing the remarks that Triple H would make just hours later.
“The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia, venue and event…. We have… made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law-enforcement and private-sector partners to keep our community safe.”
For those fans with tickets to Survivor Series that will be attending the event, these current updates indicate that event goers should not fear for their safety at the event. With that said, everybody who will be at Survivor Series and at the listed events should keep their eyes out for anything suspicious or dangerous as they try to have a fun time.
As Triple H mentioned, doors will open at 6:00 p.m. The pre-show will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the main card for Survivor Series set to commence at 8:00 p.m. and can be seen live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network.[Image by Jason Merritt/Getty Images]
