Windows 10 Winning Over Customers Despite Questionable Updates And Features

Microsoft is already starting to win over some of its most valuable customers with Windows 10. The new operating system has been downloaded to approximately 75 million machines, with 1.5 million enterprise users opting for it. The number may seem small, but this is a big success for a tech company. Businesses tend to avoid upgrading computers.

All of this comes despite various updates and features that users find questionable. One of those is the ability for the operating system to track keystrokes, raising concerns over privacy. The main aim is for Microsoft to improve its services and products, but too many people find it a creepy part of Windows 10. There are also many who worry about the security of information. This is something that can be protected, as Inquisitr shared previously.

There are still a number of bugs to fix, according to Yahoo News. One of those is dragging items into the Start Menu. It is supposed to make finding preferred programs easier, but it currently does very little. There is also no ability to enlarge the Start Menu in Windows 10. Some of these issues are still small enough for people to keep using the upgrade. There are more benefits than downsides, and chances that Microsoft will fix the issues in time.

Despite many of these problems and bugs, Windows 10 is winning people over. Business Insider reports that most companies will not upgrade until next year, based on previous updates that have taken at least a year for companies to upgrade to. However, HP has praised the upgrade, which is big considering its dislike of Windows 8. After Windows 8, HP had started moving towards Android and Google Chrome operating systems, but it seems willing to offer more on Windows 10.

That being said, there are still many people opting for Windows 7. Some will be waiting to see how the upgrade goes for their friends. There are still issues with upgrading and battery life that the tech giant needs to iron out. It is possible that once these issues have been fixed, more will take advantage of the free upgrade by July 2016. Many will want to avoid paying the £100 upgrade cost if they choose not to do it within the free period.

One of the issues with upgrading is the upgrade to other software. However, Windows 10 is offering the great opportunity to be able to use apps that usually only run on either iOS or Android systems.
