NASCAR driver Carl Edwards is in good shape after a fiery crash at NASCAR’s Talladega Speedway Sunday, but several fans are less lucky. The crash sent wreckage flying into the stand, injuring seven spectators and sending two to the hospital.
Carl Edwards’ Crash
Carl Edwards’ crash occurred in the final lap of Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series race at the Talladega Speedway. Edwards’ car actually flipped 15 feet into the air in the collision, also involving drivers Brad Keselowski and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Other Talladega Crashes
Carl Edwards’ crash was one of three major Talladega wrecks on Sunday. There was also a 13-car wreck on lap 7 and a 10-car crash soon thereafter. No drivers were injured in any of the incidents.
NASCAR is reportedly investigating the crashes to see if any additional safety measures are warranted.

This is racing.. Brad and Carl did what they are suppose to. The spotter may not have been able to see that brad was up pass the quarterpannel. If brad dropped down he wouldn't have won. Blocking is apart of racing. Wrecks will happen. What in the world is the likely hood that this will happen again? LOW!!! Any racing, you have the risk of injury and possible death. You get in to the sport knowing this. NASCAR does something, then they won't be racing anymore. It will look like the highways driving!! Just wave your hand and let people just pass you right by!

Carl Edwards should not have come down like that. I would have done the same thing if i was Brad Keselowsky. He couldn't have gone below the yellow line.
