WWE News: Daniel Bryan Gives Health Update, Says He Will Wrestle Again

Daniel Bryan has been off of WWE television for several months now, and during his time off, there has been plenty of speculation about his in-ring future. Some people — like WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart — think that Bryan’s days in the ring are over, while others are hopeful, and even optimistic that he’ll be able to return to action at some point in the future.

When Bryan got hurt just after he won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 31, many believed that his original neck injury that took him out of action for nearly a year had reoccurred, or that he was having some neck-related issues. However, that’s not the case.

Daniel Bryan’s injury was a mystery for a long time, until the aforementioned Bret Hart did an interview with Sports Illustrated, and suggested that Bryan was suffering from concussion issues, and that because of that, Bryan would be forced to retire.

There has been another interview that has been floating around which is claiming to be an interview where Bryan admits that he’ll never return to the ring, and that his wrestling days are over. Well, according to the man himself — Daniel Bryan — the interview is fake, and he promised that he will return to the ring someday.

“I appreciate all the thank yous, but the entire interview claiming that I said my time is over is a fake. I will be back wrestling.”

Of course, there’s still no timetable as to when Bryan will be back, but one would assume that he would want to be back in action before next year’s WrestleMania, so that he can be booked on the card of what’s expected to be the biggest wrestling show of all time.

As for potential opponents for Bryan at next year’s show, well, it’s way too early to tell. But Chris Jericho has said in the past that he’d be interested in coming back to work with Bryan, and it’s likely that Jericho will want to be involved in next year’s WrestleMania, so if Bryan is healthy and ready to go in time, we could see Y2J take on Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 32.
