WWE News: WWE Officials Believe Dolph Ziggler Will Re-Sign With The Company

There hasn’t been this much talk about a WWE superstar’s contract since CM Punk in 2011. The history books tell the tale on that melodrama, but Ziggler’s story has yet to be written. Earlier this week, Ziggler spoke to Chad Dukes, wrestling journalist, about his WWE contract situation. Instead of letting his contract talks lie in secret, here’s what the former World Heavyweight champion had to say:

“I’m thinking about it right now. I had a request for an upcoming contract that would end a few months from now, maybe two or three months from now, and they requested back what they would like, I countered another offer and we’re waiting to finalize some things. I love WWE and I can’t picture myself wrestling somewhere else but it’s also becoming now where that Wednesday and Thursday, I can’t just do that and get some outside live events for comedy and different movie and television options, which would only be to promote myself as a WWE superstar, to make myself a bigger star so I can advance more in WWE. So if I can’t find that happy medium, I might have to go away for a little bit. What I wanna do is make myself a bigger asset to WWE. If it involves leaving, that would crush me but it might.”

WWE fans were shocked to hear the truth about Dolph Ziggler’s contract situation. He never said he was leaving. In fact, Ziggler went on the record and said candidly that he loves the company he works for. However, Ziggler is stuck in a rut. After Survivor Series, where Ziggler was massively over with the WWE fanbase, he didn’t ascend.

Now, it’s quite obvious Dolph Ziggler deserves a WWE championship run. Not many work harder than the former Money in the Bank winner. Plus, he isn’t getting any younger. Ziggler is still in his prime. The WWE fans now have Ziggler’s side of the story. WWE’s side has now been revealed. According to Daily Wrestling News, WWE got worried when Ziggler didn’t accept the offer, but do they think he’ll re-sign?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that Ziggler was given an offer a few weeks back and when he didn’t sign it, it started a lot of speculation but the belief is that he will re-sign.”

It’s now clear that WWE offered Dolph Ziggler a new contract weeks ago. That means they are clearly interested in keeping him. The aforementioned article above talks about Ziggler winning a WWE championship, in honor of his hard work and dedication. That’d be an easy way to keep the former World Heavyweight champion.
