WWE Rumor: Hulk Hogan To Win Andre The Giant Battle Royal At ‘WrestleMania 32’?

When Hulk Hogan returned to WWE last year, he brought with him the announcement of the first annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal that would be taking place at that year’s WrestleMania 30. The inaugural Battle Royal created quite a memorable moment when Cesaro body-slammed the Big Show over the top rope to win it. Unfortunately, this past year’s Battle Royal didn’t quite deliver like the previous year’s did.

It’s no secret that Hulk Hogan wants to wrestle one more time, and he wants to do it at next year’s WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium, where WWE is hoping to shatter attendance records. However, there are some concerns with Hogan’s health and his ability to not only carry but be carried through a one-on-one match. Furthermore, due to Hogan’s injuries, he’s very limited in what he can do, and there’s probably no way that he can do his signature big boot and big leg drop.

With Hogan’s physical limitations in mind, there’s probably only one match that he can compete in next year — the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez has brought up the idea of Hogan competing and winning the Battle Royal countless times, and it could very well happen.

Back at WrestleMania 17 in 2001, WWE held a Gimmick Battle Royal, which featured 19 WWE legends. The winner of the match was the Iron Sheik, and the only reason the Sheik won was because he was the only person in the match that couldn’t physically withstand being thrown over the top rope. The same can be said for Hulk Hogan if WWE decides to put him in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

It does seem that Hogan is in great shape these days, and at this past year’s WrestleMania, he was the most physical that he’s been since his return to WWE, as he got thrown into the steel ring post and fell to the floor. That could be a sign Hogan is doing a lot better physically than he has been over the past couple of years.

In past interviews, Hogan has said that he wants to face guys like Rusev, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, or Ric Flair at next year’s WrestleMania, but all three of those guys are unlikely opponents for “The Hulkster.” The best and most likely match for him could be the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
