Time Tebow and John Elway Don’t See things the Same Way

East Rutherford, New Jersey – Tim Tebow and John Elway who is telling the truth? There seems to be some disagreement amongst friends, well maybe not friends but team mates, ok there seems to be a disagreement between two people who probably don’t like each other so much.

Tim Tebow says he had no say over which team he was traded to. John Elway says that Tebow preferred to go to the Jets and vetoed a trade to the Jacksonville Jaguars, even though he is from Jacksonville.

When asked by ESPN Radio 102.3 in Denver, “Did you give (Tebow) a choice?” Elway responded,

“We did. There was more (offered) from Jacksonville, but we looked at it and it was close enough and we were in contact with Tim throughout the day and talked to him. He knew what was going on the whole time, so the reports that he was not involved are not accurate.”

During a press conference Tebow claimed he had no say in the process, telling reporters,

“Ultimately, I really didn’t have any because the Broncos had all that power. I was just kind of watching and waiting — kind of like everybody else. It was an interesting day.”

The Jets and Broncos completed the trade after they agreed t split the $5 million dollars in salary advances owed to the quarterback.

The Jaguars reportedly made a similar, slightly more attractive offer for Tebow, who played at nearby Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Fla.

Elway and Tebow each expressed respect and gratitude for each other throughout the entire trade process but it is clear they never have been nor will be in agreement on much.

Do you think that Tim Tebow was treated properly by the Broncos?
