WWE News: Jim Ross On Hulk Hogan Wrestling Again, Says ‘WrestleMania 32’ Would Be A Perfect Place For A Hogan Return

During a recent interview in Australia, where Hulk Hogan was promoting WWE’s upcoming tour, Hogan said that Vince McMahon has given him the okay to wrestle at next year’s WrestleMania in Dallas, Texas. This, of course, hasn’t been confirmed, and it could just be wishful thinking on Hogan’s part. But, Hogan did say that he talked to Vince McMahon about returning to the ring, and that McMahon told him “I’m looking forward to it.”

Former WWE play-by-play guy Jim Ross talked about Hogan possibly returning to the ring at next year’s WrestleMania, and said that it would be the perfect place for a Hulk Hogan return. Ross — like everyone else — doesn’t know if Hogan’s return to the ring is actually going to happen, but he thinks that it would be a great way for Hogan to put an end to his illustrious career.

“Read where Hulk Hogan said that he was going to wrestle at WM32 in Arlington, Texas. Don’t know if that’s wishful thinking or something that has been internally confirmed. If Hogan is going to have one more match, WM32 would be the place to do it. It would be a nice, nostalgic, special attraction type of bout that I’m sure many fans would be curious to see.”

Hogan, 61, hasn’t wrestled a match for WWE 2006, where he took on Randy Orton at SummerSlam. In an interview with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer this past summer, Hogan says he wants to return to the ring in WWE to end his career on a positive note, because — in his mind — his matches in TNA “were embarrassing.”

Since his return to WWE, Hogan has barely gotten physical with anyone. But, Hogan did take a bump at WrestleMania 31 back in March, which led many people to believe that he’s gotten the okay to wrestle at some point in the future.

In past interviews, Hogan has named a couple of his dream opponents for next year’s WrestleMania, which include “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, John Cena and Rusev. Ric Flair noted in a recent interview that Hogan has told him privately that he wants a match with him at WrestleMania 32, but due to the fact that they’re both in their 60’s, and that Vince McMahon is adamantly against Flair returning to the ring, that match probably won’t happen.

Time will tell if Hogan is telling the truth about getting the green light to compete at WrestleMania 32. But whether he competes or not, it’s extremely likely that he’ll be at the show, given that WWE wants to have as many big names on the show as possible to help make it the biggest and most successful WrestleMania of all-time.
