Motorcycling at the speed of sound – well almost

Motorcycles come in a full range of styles. Everything from a little mini-bike to dirt bikes and of course the holy grail – The Harley. Each of them have varying speeds that they can go but very few can lay claim to being the most expensive production sport bike in the world. That claim my friends currently belongs to the MV Augusta F4CC and not only is it the most expensive it is also the most exclusive bike on the market.

The MV Augusta F4CC is sculpted by Massimo Tamburini in titanium and carbon fiber. So unless you have a spare $120,000 and act before the last of the 100 available bikes are sold you can consider yourself shit out of luck in owning one of these beauties. Not to mention you’ll also miss out on a Girard-Perregaux Swiss watch and a limited edition leather jacket fashioned by the Italian fashion house Trussardi.

“The F4CC was conceived by MV Augusta director Claudio Castiglioni himself and bears his initials. “I decided to put my name to this bike as I originally dreamed of it for myself,’ he says. Castiglioni spared no expense in creating the motorcycle, employing exclusive materials and the latest technology to attain the utmost in performance. 90% of the F4CCs parts are tailor-made by hand. Its 1078 cc engine produces 200 hp and a top speed of 195 mph. And with a kerb weight of 412 lbs., it costs twice as much per pound as a Ferrari.”

I wonder if Jay Leno knew about this?
