WWE News: WWE Set To Induct Popular Tag Team Into WWE Hall Of Fame

WWE has decided to induct several big names into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame, including the likes of “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Others, such as Kevin Nash, are rumored as well. However, each WWE Hall of Fame induction has to include some life-long mid-carders. They also have to include a tag team every once in a while. WWE has inducted a faction in the past, in the Four Horsemen. Yet, we never see many tag teams go in.

It appears that will change in the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame. Popular WWE tag team The Bushwhackers are set to go in this year and should be announced on WWE RAW this Monday night.

WWE happened to give it away a good bit on WWE.com recently, telling us as follows.

“The mystery pair of legends will join “Macho Man” Randy Savage, celebrity inductee Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rikishi in the elite class. Who will enter the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania 31?

Could it be a team famous for their camouflage gear? Could it be an ultra-popular pair of brothers or family members? How many tag team championships have they held? Is it possible that we will see a current Hall of Famer earn a second nod and join Ric Flair as a two-time inductee?”

The Bushwhackers are known for their camo gear, as well as being close family members. PWinsider confirms this along with the fact that Larry Zbszyko may also go in this year.

Despite winning several tag team championships from various promotions, the duo never held a WWE or WWF Tag Team Championship. They are also panned by many critics as one of the worst tag teams ever. Wrestling Observer Newsletter gave them the Worst Tag Team Award in both 1992 and 1994, as well as the worst worked match of 1993.

Despite this, the duo have been quite popular over the years, and a team that many have loved for decades. They were more of a comedic group, so they weren’t the type of group that had to be loved critically. Regardless of their win/loss record in WWE, they are a legendary team deserving of a WWE Hall of Fame slot in the tag team division. Luke Williams and Butch Miller make up the team, and each one brings something special to the group.

At the end of the day, while they are not top tier WWE Superstars that will go down as the greatest of their era, they are at least at the level of current WWE Hall of Famer Koko B. Ware. Most have come to the conclusion that if Koko can go in, just about anyone can.
