WWE News: Latest On The Undertaker Working WrestleMania 31 And His Opponent

The WWE Universe is coming off a very controversial Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The matches leading up to the Rumble match itself provided excellent entertainment for the WWE fans. Philadelphia popped for the return of the New Age Outlaws to in-ring competition. They put over the Ascension, which gives them a good building block for the future.

All three matches, before the WWE World Heavyweight championship match, were tag-team bouts that told stories in the ring. Nikki and Brie Bella defeated Natalya and Paige in an entertaining match. The Miz and Damien Mizdow lost to the Uso’s, but both teams traded botches continuously throughout the match.

Then the last two matches took place with Brock Lesnar conquering John Cena and Seth Rollins to retain his WWE championship. That match was a 5-star contest, so the crowd was hot entering the Rumble match. However, Roman Reigns ended up victorious, which caused an outrage within the WWE Universe.

Roman Reigns WWE

After the pay-per-view ended with Reigns on top, thousands of WWE Network subscribers cancelled their plan. There were riots in the Philadelphia streets from the decision to have Reigns win the Royal Rumble. As of right now, a few matches are official, like Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight championship.

There’s one man that was left out of the conversations last night among the WWE fans, the Undertaker. According to SEScoops.com, the Undertaker’s status for WrestleMania 31 is looking promising and is slated to wrestle.

“Top WWE officials likely already know for sure if he’ll be there and we should get some sort of official word in the next several weeks.

“His opponent is likely to be Bray Wyatt, which is one of the main reasons Wyatt had such a strong showing in the Royal Rumble match.”

Jim Ross, legendary-WWE announcer, weighed in on the discussion of Bray Wyatt and the Undertaker facing each other at WrestleMania 31. It would bring a new feel to an Undertaker storyline that hasn’t been seen in quite some time. While guys like CM Punk and Brock Lesnar provided the WWE Universe with great stories, Wyatt can get dark and ominous.

As far as the rumored card for WrestleMania 31, the Undertaker would add an element that fans would get behind. Right now, the crowd that was in attendance in Philadelphia last night would riot even harder. So far, Sting and Triple H is the only match fans want to see. Even at that, some of them would rather have the Undertaker in Triple H’s position.

Whatever the case may be, the WWE made their decision to go with Roman Reigns towards WrestleMania 31. If the disgruntled WWE fans out there want change to occur, Daniel Bryan wasn’t penciled into the WrestleMania 30 main event last year; keep that in mind.
