Technorati launches Wiki like service for tag pages

technorati1

Technorati have added a wiki style feature to tag pages, allowing users to add content to every tag page in Technorati’s index.

According to Technorati:

bloggers and authors can now write original Wikipedia-style tag articles and reference blurbs and have them appear on Technorati.com tag pages. Tag pages compile content from the blogosphere (posts, photos, videos, blogs) around any tag. A tag article provides an overview of the tag, and the relevance of the tag topic to the blogosphere.

Each entry includes the members name, and link to their site, in theory offering traffic and SEO opportunities for those participating.

Oddly though, while you can add a short blurb to each page, you need to sign up to Blogcritics to submit a full and primary entry.

A logical value add, and should be well received by users.
