TNA Wrestling: CM Punk And Vince Russo Wanted By Dixie Carter

TNA Wrestling’s Dixie Carter wants CM Punk on her roster now that Phil Brooks has publicly spurned Vince McMahon’s apology from the WWE.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, CM Punk chants targeting his WWE Diva wife AJ Lee have been making Punk pretty “uncomfortable” lately and he laid down some rules for when it is appropriate to chant his name during live WWE events. Rumors are stating that CM Punk could join UFC or Bellator in 2015 and UFC President Dana White is apparently open to the idea.

Dixie Carter says TNA has some exciting story lines worked out and she has been eyeballing a “handful of talent that I think might complement that.” Carter desires to have her pro wrestling company step outside the shadow cast by WWE in the next year.

“I think it’s very important, and that’s my goal for 2015, to distinguish our product and brand even more,” said Carter. “We don’t need to be another wrestling company, we need to be something unique, different and special and some of things we’ve done, the way we do backstage pre-tapes, the way we shoot stuff, I think has been amazing and I take it as a sincere compliment when other companies in your competition try to replicate that

CM Punk left TNA wrestling after a short run in 2003 but TNA’s President believes it’s time for a return, although she does admit she will not ask until the timing is right.

“CM Punk’s in a place right now where he’s happy and I wouldn’t attempt to try to get him to come wrestle for us until he’s in a place where he wants to wrestle,” said Dixie Carter according to The Independent. “I respect what he’s done so much, he was in my opinion at the top of his game, and it’s hard walking away from a big paycheck, but he did it. You wouldn’t want to ask him to walk to a new paycheck until his head is in the right place.”

As for Vince Russo, Carter believes he’s like a football star that is distracting the rest of the team. Rumors claim Russo has upset Spike TV to the point that they’re requesting TNA wrestling to not work with him anymore, but Carter isn’t willing to end their working relationship.

“I’m a fan but it wasn’t the time to take it to another level. Vince has worked with us three different times, and the one thing I’ve learnt in wrestling is that you never say never and I’ll never say never on Vince,” Carter said.

Would you like to see CM Punk climb back into a TNA wrestling ring? Or would you rather see him try out MMA in either UFC or Bellator?
