WWE News: Big Update On Sting’s Debut And Original Plans For The Icon

The professional wrestling world went abuzz when Sting made his long-awaited debut in WWE. His impact at Survivor Series couldn’t have been more awe-inspiring and the WWE Universe went crazy on the Internet. In other words, Sting broke the Internet. Even due to the rumors that went viral the day before about his arrival in St. Louis, Missouri, his debut wasn’t derailed by the spoiled surprise. Sting truly created a moment that will never be forgotten.

News surrounding his debut is still on-going, as yesterday the Inquisitr reported that his altercation with Triple H might lead to a match with the Game down the road, possibly at the Royal Rumble. Originally, Sting was linked with the Undertaker and that very-well could still occur. However, it looks like the former-Authority leader is set to be away for a while.

Now, the big news that is surrounding Sting is the actual debut itself backstage. Reports are coming in that say his debut was supposed to be a surprise.

“According to sources, WWE flew Sting into Kansas, MO from Dallas, TX on Sunday morning as they wanted to hide him from fans who were waiting at the airport to meet WWE Superstars. The company then had a limo waiting for him in Kansas City, MO and drove him to St. Louis for the pay-per-view. He was kept hidden backstage during the afternoon and evening hours.

“Additionally, Sting wasn’t notified that he’d be appearing at Survivor Series until late last week. WWE officials called him on Wednesday or Thursday and told him he was needed for the pay-per-view.”

To add on to the report from E-Wrestling News, he was promoting WWE 2K15 for the previous few days. The original plan Sting was for him to appear after the Divas Elimination tag-team match. Of course, those plans changed right before the pay-per-view, because that’s just how WWE operates these days. There are no plans for Sting to appear at TV tapings.

There were more surprises planned for Survivor Series, but Sting inadvertently held Randy Orton off the program. St. Louis is Orton’s hometown, so the anticipated-pop that Orton would’ve received might have had the place deafening. Remember, Orton is a babyface now and the crowd seems to love the Apex Predator.

After Monday Night Raw last night, each character from the Authority will have their own storyline moving forward. Are there people out there that believed last night was a disappointment? Daniel Bryan’s huge return sparked a lot of interest, but WWE fans wanted to see Sting. According to the TV reports, Sting isn’t supposed to come back any time soon.
