WWE Legend Bret Hart Dislikes WWE’s Current Product

In a recent Bret Hart Q&A session, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked about the current WWE product and claimed that he doesn’t really enjoy what WWE has been doing over the last couple of years.

Bret talked about how he was a huge fan of former WWE superstar CM Punk and was disappointed when Punk left WWE because he felt like Punk was one of the only true innovators of today’s wrestling.

One of the reasons that Hart doesn’t like the current WWE product is because there are too many high flyers, and that all of the current wrestlers are pretty much the same. Hart also said WWE is lacking variety and that there are no true big men left in the business.

Another pet peeve of Hart’s is that he can always see wrestlers calling spots in the ring. Hart named Chris Jericho as someone who is an obvious “spot caller” in the ring, saying that everyone can see Jericho “reading the book of Gettysburg” in the ring to his opponents.

Bret also talked about how much he dislikes wrestlers using moves that either don’t look like they would hurt or don’t even hit their opponent. Hart said that too many wrestlers are using stupid moves. He names John Cena as someone who does just that, saying that Cena’s “Five Knuckle Shuffle” is one of the dumbest moves in WWE today.

Hart went on to say that the current WWE superstars don’t put enough effort into their matches to make them seem real, and that everything looks planned out ahead of time, making the matches look like a spot-fest.

Bret Hart isn’t the only WWE legend to give honest criticism of the WWE product. Fellow hall of famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin slammed WWE several weeks back and called the current WWE a “three-ring circus”.

One of the problems that Hart has with WWE today is that the people in charge were never great wrestlers. Last year he said that Triple H, who is one of the most powerful people in WWE, was just a mediocre wrestler and shouldn’t be telling new wrestlers what to do because he was never an innovator.

Hart’s comments about Triple H being overrated may not be popular with WWE or its fans. However, he has remained on good terms with WWE chairman Vince McMahon despite his criticism of WWE and the people in charge.
