WWE News: Major Power Struggle Going On Between Triple H And Other Executives

For those who predicted an internal power struggle to be a consistent storyline behind the WWE scenes, pat yourselves on the back. The Inquisitr has reported in the past that Vince McMahon and Triple H were at odds about various creative decisions, including Roman Reigns, KENTA’s WWE name, and who should face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. When McMahon decided to take a step back, HHH’s mindset and personality took over, and that was predicated from the start.

This time around, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, his wife, are at odds with other executives in the company. The other executives might not have as much pull as Vince McMahon, but a power struggle is not good for internal affairs and the future of WWE.

“There’s talk within WWE of a power struggle involving Stephanie McMahon and Triple H on one side, and Chief Strategy & Financial Officer George Barrios and Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer Michelle Wilson on the other side.

“Barrios and Wilson were the ones in charge of the WWE Network launch and WWE’s new TV contract. Both deals were nowhere near as successful as the company hoped for.”

Granted, Barrios and Wilson aren’t well-known names around the WWE Universe. However, many WWE officials are very integral to the growth and stability of the WWE, but their names will never be mentioned. The WWE is like a well-oiled machine, with many parts coming together to reach one goal. From McMahon to the stage crew, everybody is important in some capacity.

Something like this has occurred multiple times over the past few weeks. Is there something going on behind the scenes that WWE fans aren’t aware of? Just overnight, news broke about Vince’s new rule on the Total Divas cast.

Vince McMahon has reportedly had a rule that nobody from the WWE Total Divas cast can hold the Divas Title. It’s said that this is one of those rules that can change tomorrow.

“On a related note, there has been booking frustration regarding Total Divas. Vince reportedly goes through phases where he wants the RAW storylines to sync with Total Divas. However, Total Divas is taped so far in advance and there are communication issues as to what content airs when and it’s not always possible to have everything on the same page.”

What does that even mean? There’s not an issue with the website that reported it, but how can that rule change at anytime? Does Vince have too much power, even at the state of his career? Triple H is very smart and NXT is proof. That show is often times better than Monday Night Raw. That’s from a production standpoint too; the wrestling is clearly the tops in WWE.

Like it or not, Stephanie and Triple H should have major control of the WWE. Vince is too old and out of sight with the fans. That’s been said for 10 years, but it has finally come true. Hopefully, he realizes his time has come as a Creative official, and it will be time to hang up the suit and tie. It’s Triple H’s WWE now.
