WWE Wrestler Jeff Hardy is alleged to have been involved in a hit and run accident this morning (Friday), but before you get sucked in, it’s yet another fake angle to televised wrestling.
According to the WWE: “Jeff Hardy and his girlfriend Beth were involved in a hit and run automobile accident earlier this morning in North Carolina. Both Jeff and Beth were injured during the accident, but no ambulance was called to the scene.”
The alleged hit and run included “exclusive video footage from the police cruiser on the scene, as well as an exclusive interview with Jeff Hardy.” To juice the story up some more, rival boxer Christian was implied to have been driving the car that left the scene.
One small problem though: the footage aired in most overseas markets last night, before the supposed accident took place.
The Jeff Hardy accident video below. The other thing to note is the clarity of the footage from the police cruiser, and the sound. The darkness in the footage seems to have been computer generated to imply it came from a real cruiser, but compare it to footage from real accidents, and you’ll see the difference, the sound is also very clear compared to what you’d expect. Also there’s nothing on Google about a CAPD in North Carolina, but we can’t be 100% certain.

Firstly “rival boxer?” Its wrestling not boxing therefore it would be rival wrestler. Also it was not implied that it was Christian that is just internet rumours. Jeff was asked by the “Policeman” if he knew he was driving and he stated that he did not.

Wake up people. I live 27 miles from Cameron, NC. The temperature was in the lower 30's at the time of this, “so called acident”. The cop is wearing short sleeves and the “girlfriend” is wearing a short skirt.

Well done Sherlock, it is obviously fake.. i think it goes without bothering to report about it. it's WWE Wrestling of course it's staged.. everything is. If it wasn't they wouldn't have been able to obtain the footage, they wouldn't be so casual about announcing it on their show or have a wrestler do a skit about it (and so on).
“We can't be 100% certain” lol, They had Vince blown up in a car but come back a few days later (due to a real incident – Benoit's death/killing spree), A Man die drowning in cement, Kane blows fireballs, people falling off balconies and getting beaten up by sledgehammers week in and week out.. Hell they even have a guy who keeps die'ing on a yearly basis..
Both attacks are being used to bring Christian back into WWE.
lol@Boxer – Christian and Jeff wouldn't last a single round as boxers, i doubt they could even throw a punch.

Yeah, I wasn't sure to be certain Jeff got hurt, but i noticed some flaws in their work. For one, the cop asked for Hardy's name. Come on now, I'm sure he's seen WWF/WWE at least one time in Jeff career spand. He debuted in 1992. Second the sound AND picture from the “cruiser cam” is way too clear. Just watch Spike TV. “World's Most Amazing Videos” or somethin' of that nature. They'll have words at the bottom to clearify what is being said because it's so unclear. plus the cam is usually shaking when the cruiser is moving, that was perfectly still. I hate how WWE pulls shit like this, it's premature.

Who has ever been to see Friday Night Smack Down Live knows they prerecord on Tuesday for the show. Look at the cops date, it actually happened on the day of 1/9/09, the night of Smack Down for Friday apparently the night it happened! But tonight is 1/10/09, too fast even for the live news feed. Much watching T.N.A. (Christian got a beating from T.N.A. wrestling stars for leaving to the W.W.E.) That's the only way Christian could come back, watch him at the Royal Rumble (Probably the 30th man to enter in to win) for WRESTLEMANIA 29!!!!

News flash, WWE, your story lines suck. They have for the better half of a decade now. Mr. McMahon blew himself up in a limo before the Benoit incident, the lame pregnancy/lesbian/kidnapping/ illegitimate midget children/ inability for any referee to count to 3 normally is really tiresome.
No wonder UFC is killing your ratings. No one gives a crap about “Sports Entertainment”, aging former stars, one dimensional wrestlers (remember the roller skater and two greasers you had as a tag team? What about the lame ass band of male chearleaders? Really… genius.), and the plethora of pathetic realism that has become “professional wrestling”.
I can't wait for WWE and TNA to go the way of the XFL. With REAL fighting shows like UFC, im amazed people are still enthralled by chair smacking and “finishing moves”.

this is for all you morons on this site. 1st off, yes, this was a “fake” incident. Yes, they are trying to hype christian up as they bring him back, but any moron that wants to go as far as saying wrestling is fake, is a complete and utter idiot. I have wrestled for well over 10 years now. Yes, you go into a match knowing 1. whos going to win, and 2. you know a couple of moves you and your opponent are going to do, but most of the time, there guys walk in to the ring, week after week, with very little knowledge of whats going to happen. Yes, there are ways to do moves to make them not hurt you ass much, but do you really think you can fall 30 feet to the ground and not feel any pain? Do you think it feels good when the big show brings down his giant ass hand across your chest. sh happens in wrestling, and its all about pain. so for you idiots that call wrestling fake, try getting in the ring, I dare you, cuz you wont get back again. Here is proof that its fake. The police video implies that it was 2 in the morning on Friday, 1/9/09. If you've ever been to a live Smackdown event, you know that Smackdown is pre-recorded on Tuesdays. You can't have footage of and accident, or talk about it on TV, or have video footage of someone reflecting on it, 3 DAYS BEFORE IT HAPPENS!!!!
DUH!!!! They would have done a better job starting this storyline on Raw first!!!

But it goes to show that at least somebody else is on the same page and smart enough to figure this out. Without even qustioning the footage clarity, or WWE's ability to obtain footage, or whether the is a CAPD, or any of that other stuff thats mentioned.

Ok guys firstly lets go back to when jeff's trailer burnt down- thats a fact it did burn and i belive his pet dog was killed in the fire but it was hardys own fault…. Secondly the assault before survivor series – Thats real also. Jeff was attacted by an unknown assalent ( possibly a dissgruntled fan or someone he had rubbed up the wrong way earlier that night ) as reported on by the news networks in America! earlier that day. Now the fact that the two incidents happened close together was just coincidence…. but the car assault and pyro accident ( come on theres a thing wrong with his face even )were stagged by the wwe to try and turn these events into a continuous story. As for the christain angle it may happen but at this point its just rumour not Fact!!!!

Oh and fair dues to CANT TELL YA on his rant about real wrestling i know its true as well as i trainned with an independent wrestling company before too ( althought i never be came an actual wrestler) and i experience first hand the very real pain. just look at mickey rourke's new film “The Wrestler” thats pretty much whats its like so from now on lets say wresling is choriographed but its not fake!!
