Pacquiao, Marquez In for a Tough Fight and We’re In for a Tough Tune

Manny Pacquiao, boxing’s undisputed pound-for-pound king (unless you ask Floyd Mayweather Jr.) is facing Mexico’s Juan Miguel Marquez for the third time on November 12 this year.

The two great boxers fought to a draw in 2004. It was followed by a split-decision in favor of Pacquiao in 2008. The Filipino boxer has since then dominated Ricky Hatton, Oscar de la Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito and Shane Mosley.

Marquez, however, can only come up with a loss against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

But this doesn’t mean that the fight will be a bore. With their first two encounters classified as epic, then it is safe to look forward to another one that would settle the questions raised after the first two fights.

The upcoming fight will guarantee Marquez a $5 million paycheck while Pacquiao is expected to take home at least $20 million. This would not be an easy money for both. Aside from slugging it out this November, the pre-fight promotions that both players are going through are just as tough.

Yup, imagine them singing to promote their match. It’s tough to our ears.
