‘Kim Kardashian: Hollywood’ Game Stops Working, Fans Get Next Level Crazy Over It

In case you haven’t heard, Kim Kardashian has a game available for Android and Apple smartphones that has been getting a lot of attention as of late. Financial projections for the app state that it could be probable for the game to reach $200 million in sales by the end of the year. The app has been one of the most successful for Glu Mobile, the designer of the game. Fans are downloading the game at lightning speed and spending all their hard-earned cold cash to experience, even on a minute level, what it is like to “live like Kim.”

That’s all until this happened:

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood video game

This led to perhaps one of the biggest fan meltdowns in the history of mobile apps, as reported by our partner site BuzzFeed. Avid (or rabid?) players of the game came out of the woodwork to offer the following commentary on their inability to get the game to work:

Why won’t my f—ing Kim K game load?!?! B—- I earned my A status without cheating AND I’m starting runway jobs…the f— going on?! — Twitter user @shEgoTripn

Or this especially hilarious one (note that when you’re really intending to make a point, go for ALL CAPS!!):

TIME IS MONEY AND U WASTING MY F—ING TIME I HAVE PHOTOSHOOTS 2 DO AND I KNOW IM LOSING FANS JUST BC U GOT FAMOUS EASILY DOESN’T MEAN U CAN TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME. — Instagram User @bvsedbri

Even some guys got in on the action and were next level angry about the game failing to load:

The Kim Kardashian game for is saying “try again” well f— you I just want to play and be famous and go on dates and get money. — Twitter user @narrypiizza

Some fans even resorted to typing out some very strongly worded death threats to Mrs. Kardashian-West in response to the game’s malfunctioning.

In a strange twist of irony, Forbes just named the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood app a “$200 million hit,” while other reports state that Kim Kardashian can expect to pocket nearly $85 million of that $200 million prize.

Still, BetaBeat, a website dedicated to hot technology trends, had the following thing to say about Kim Kardashian: Hollywood:

“In the world of publicly traded gaming companies, that kind of sudden spike is typical, and is usually followed by a dip. After all, trends in mobile gaming move very quickly.”

This statement comes along with an analysis of the Glu Mobile stock skyrocketing in light of the popularity of the game. If glitches like this one that made players completely lose their minds continue to happen, causing an exodus of uninstalled applications, could the stock plummet?

Only time will tell, but this one may be one to watch if you are a market trader of any kind.
